Organised at the initiative of Hong Kong CCEs (Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur) this annual meeting followed a press cocktail that took place on Thursday, 3 December at the Chief Executive Suite I, Grand Hyatt, Wanchai starting at 06.00 pm.
This cocktail has been attended by ten or so CCE representatives who have exchanged their views on the impact of the crisis and what can be done to tackle it positively.
At the 2009 Greater China CCEs Conference of 4 December, some 70 business men and women, active CCE members, have shared their views about the crisis and the lessons that should be drawn from it. This annual meeting has been attended by Bruno Durieux, Chariman of the national committee of CCEs, Hervé Ladsous, French Ambassador in Beijing, and the three heads of the economic missions in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Several topics have been discussed, including the most sensitive ones: - Is access to the Chinese market easier? More difficult? - How can we understand the anticrisis plans of each local government? - Have Chinese companies been able to reinforce their competitive edge? - Do the new environmental measures represent business opportunities for French or local operators?
Franck Desevedavy, partner of UGGC & Associés, has been attending this meeting as Chairman of Taiwan CCEs.
