UGGC & Associés advises Chantelle for the take over of Orcanta from PPR Group
Pinault Printemps Redoute (PPR) and Groupe Chantelle have just started exclusive negotiations concerning the transfer of Orcanta, for an estimated transfer price of approximately EUR 42.5 million.

Groupe Chantelle, a French company that is a leader in the industry of women’s lingerie, has developed three brands: Chantelle, Passionata and Darjeeling. The group generates a turnover in excess of EUR 300 million, 60% of which is earned internationally.

PPR, a global luxury goods distributor, is involved in 74 countries worldwide with names such as Redcats, Fnac, Conforama and CFA for the distribution of Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga… and other luxury brands. In 2005, the group turnover reached EUR 17.8 billion.

PPR’s lingerie unit, Orcanta, created in 1996, operates 64 stores in France with turnover of EUR 49 million in 2005.

This acquisition is part of a development phase of their existing distribution network.

Groupe Chantelle’s financial consultants are Natexis Finance (Stéphane Launois) and the financial audit was carried out by KPMG (Jean-Pierre Crouzet and Jean-François Zantar).
