Competition law
UGGC & Associés can call upon the expertise of several partners and associates from their Paris and Brussels offices. They are all specialists of anti-competition law and Community law, such as free circulation of goods, unrestricted provision of services and freedom of establishment.
This department gets involved on behalf of French and foreign clients and can rely on an international network of efficient correspondents it can easily and quickly assign to each case. It also handles cases as the correspondent in France for many foreign law firms.
In competition law matters, this department covers a very broad spectrum and can count on the support and skills of UGGC’s Brussels office.
UGGC & Associés assists its clients in the following areas:
- drawing-up, analyzing and following-up agreements with regard to cartel law and abuse of dominant position;
- setting-up competition audit and compliance programmes;
- assisting with investigations;
- defending clients in Community and national litigations both before competition authorities and the courts;
- civil liability suits;
- assisting clients with deregulation issues, in the telecommunication and energy sectors in particular.
The teams from the Competition and Community Law department, with the support of the public law department, follow-up on the influence on competition of State involvement (State aids and services of general economic interest) and deregulations in progress.
