International family law
UGGC & Associés is widely recognised as specialists in family law, especially in an international context.
Civil law, International Private law and Tax law are the areas of law most concerned by this practice.
The Private Client department assists natural persons individually, as a couple or as a family (in the broader sense of the term), to put into place a legal and fiscal framework for their family life (for example, choice of matrimonial regime, marriage contracts / prenuptial agreements, family agreements, posthumous mandate, future protection mandate, gifts to members of family and extended members of family [under French law known as simple, gradual and residual], trusts, liquidation of trusts or estates, especially when certain elements of the case fall outside of national jurisdiction. The department also becomes involved in litigation in any of these areas, in countries where UGGC & Associés has offices as well as other countries, in which case UGGC lawyers work in collaboration with local experts.
The Private Client department also assists clients in decisions of residence transfer, in particular organising the necessary audits within the areas of Family and Tax law.
