UGGC Avocats, counsel to the AVRIL Group, in the context of a €280 million securitization of trade receivables

October 12, 2022 – UGGC Avocats, one of France’s leading independent law firms and a multidisciplinary business law firm, is acting as counsel to Groupe Avril in the context of a €280 million deconsolidating securitization of trade receivables arranged by Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank.

The Avril Group is committed to respecting its environmental commitments and has chosen to index this securitization to the achievement of extra-financial objectives with the integration of three ESG criteria, taking into account the priorities in terms of CSR: a 30% decrease in CO2 emissions linked to Avril’s activities; a decrease in the accident frequency rate; and gender parity in the Group’s top management.

Founded in 1983, the Avril Group is the leading industrial and financial player in the oil and protein sectors. Present in France and internationally, the Avril Group is active in sectors as diverse as human food, animal nutrition and expertise, renewable energies and chemistry.

The UGGC Avocats team assisting the Avril Group is composed of Olivier Moriceau, partner.

Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank’s legal counsel on the securitization was Clifford Chance (Julien Rocherieux – partner).
