Corinne Khayat, Anne-Marie Pecoraro and Danielle Moukouri Djengue, panelists and keynote speakers at the African Business Lawyers Congress in October 5-7th, 2022 in Lome, Togo

Corinne Khayat, Anne-Marie Pecoraro and Danielle Moukouri Djengue were panellists and keynote speakers at the 14th edition of the African Congress of Business Lawyers (COJA), organised by CADEV in Lomé, from 5 to 7 October 2022 on the following topic:

“Legal and professional challenges of the digitalization of the economy, professions and administrative procedures”.

This was a unique opportunity to cross the views of experts on major developments in OHADA law.

Anne Marie Pecoraro spoke about all the issues related to electronic contracts, the law applicable to smart contracts and the metaverse, from legal to technological developments.

Also, she covered the challenges of virtual finance, electronic money, blockchain, crypto assets, digital currencies projects in Europe and Africa.

Following Danielle Moukouri Djengue’s speech on the protection of personal data in Africa, and Corinne Khayat’s on legal chatbots, Corinne Khayat and Danielle Moukouri Djengue took part in an expert panel on personal data, consumer protection and cyber security.
