UGGC Africa – A new pan-African platform of business law
In December 2002, UGGC Avocats created a subsidiary office in Casablanca. It was one of the first French law firms to set up an office in Morocco in order to develop a pan-African legal and tax advisory platform. The Moroccan office has since become one of the foremost international law firms in Africa intervening regularly in Morocco but also in Algeria, Tunisia as well as in Sub-Saharan, West and Central Africa.
In 2014, the firm also opened an “Africa Desk” in Paris – always with the aim of remaining close to its European clients. The Desk consists of lawyers in the Paris office who are perfectly knowledgeable in OHADA law so that our European clients have a contact close-at-hand in Paris.
In 2021, the name of the subsidiary in Morocco changed to UGGC Africa to emphasize the firm’s African presence and ambitions. The same year, UGGC Africa has considerably grown by developing its networks in both Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
For more than 20 years, UGGC Africa is accompanying its clients in their investment projects in Africa. It is offering them a wide range of expertise covering all areas of law, with a level of practice that meets the highest standards of the profession. Furthermore, UGGC Africa is working in Arabic, English and French.
