A new pan-African vision of business law consulting
In December 2002, UGGC Avocats opened its Moroccan subsidiary in Casablanca. UGGC Avocats was one of the first French law firms to set up in Morocco, with the aim of developing a pan-African platform for legal and tax advice. The Moroccan office has since become one of the leading international law firms in Africa, regularly intervening not only in Morocco, but also in Algeria, Tunisia and sub-Saharan, West and Central Africa.
Desk Africa
In 2014, the firm also opened an “Africa Desk” in Paris – to stay as close as possible to its European clients. The Desk is staffed by lawyers from the Paris office with in-depth knowledge of the law in Maghreb countries and the OHADA zone, so that our European clients can benefit from local contacts.
UGGC Africa
In 2021, the name of the subsidiary in Morocco was changed to UGGC Africa, to underline the firm’s African presence and ambitions. In the same year, the UGGC Africa network was extended to Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire.
For over 20 years, UGGC Africa has been assisting its clients with their investment projects in Africa. The different teams offer clients a wide range of skills covering all areas of the law, with a technicality meeting the highest standards of the profession. UGGC Africa works in Arabic, English and French.
