UGGC Avocats assisted Paradiso Media in its acquisition of Les Echos – Le Parisien Group’s shareholding in Binge Audio

UGGC Avocats, one of the first French independent law firms and a multidisciplinary business law firm, advised the company Paradiso Media, international podcast creation and distribution studio, in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in Binge Audio, one of the leading French producers of original podcasts, through the acquisition of the minority shareholding held by Les Echos – Le Parisien group and a new capital increase within the company Binge audio to the exclusive benefit of Paradiso Media.

 

Binge Audio and Les Echos – Le Parisien Group have acquired a significant position in their respective markets over the past five years: Binge Audio, on the native podcast market (1.8 million downloads in December 2022) and Les Echos – Le Parisien, on the news podcast market (1.4 million downloads ) and radio (5.8 million downloads for Radio Classique in December 2022), Binge Audio and Les Echos – Le Parisien have notably developed podcasts that have met with great success, such as “Code Source” or “La Story”, as part of their collaboration.

 

By joining forces, Paradiso Media and Binge Audio intend to become the reference player in Europe and to offer listeners an even richer and more diversified range of content.
