Appolinaire is a senior lawyer with the firm.

He specializes in international trade and financial technology law.

He is a doctoral researcher in international trade and investment law in Africa at the University of Dschang in Cameroon. He holds an LLM in Business Law. He also trained in contract management at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom (UK).

He has received professional training in public procurement and logistics law, as well as in corporate governance.

Appolinaire previously worked as an associate in corporate law at a leading law firm in Cameroon, where he dealt mainly with mergers and acquisitions and competition law compliance.

Thanks to his expertise in international business law and international trade, he was a key member of the team advising the World Bank Group and the World Trade Organization on Cameroon’s trade in services policies in the context of the AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area) negotiations.

It advises major exporters on the specific sectors in which Cameroon has a comparative advantage for trading in Africa and beyond, and on the regulatory conditions and procedures for complying with the export rules promoted by Cameroon’s National FTAA Implementation Committee, as part of the national FTAA implementation strategy.

He deals with the complex legal issues surrounding cross-border transactions, corporate governance, corporate finance and business regulation. He advises on a wide range of issues, including anti-dumping, trade barrier regulations, customs regulations, export controls, preferential trade agreements and investment agreements. His areas of expertise also include contracts for the carriage of goods by road within OHADA jurisdictions.

He provides sound commercial advice on mergers and acquisitions, digital law transactions, finance and capital markets in the CEMAC zone.

He is an accredited World Bank consultant.
