Laure Assumpçao is a partner at UGGC Avocats. Trained in both France and the United States, she is admitted to the Paris and New York Bars. She regularly represents and advises a wide range of French and international clients within the art sector. For more than ten years, Laure has worked alongside museums, private collectors, art organisations, galleries, auction houses and dealers. Her practice notably includes actions seeking the annulment of sales of inauthentic artworks, restitution matters and criminal proceedings relating to the illicit trafficking of cultural goods. She is also involved in complex cross-border litigation and commercial arbitration cases. Over the years, Laure has developed extensive knowledge of the art market and its transactional and contentious challenges, while also expanding her practice in alternative dispute resolution in the art sector.
