UGGC Avocats assisted investors in Keey Aerogel’s €18 million fund-raising to industrialize its “green” aerogel.

UGGC Avocats is delighted to have supported the investment funds Fonds SPI 2 – Société de projets Industriels de Bpifrance, Wind Capital II and FPCI NCITY, as well as the historic investor Capital Grand Est, in raising €18 million for Keey Aerogel, an innovative company in the ecological materials sector. This round will enable Keey Aerogel to go to industrial scale and produce green aerogel, a major step forward for the energy transition and the reduction of industry’s carbon footprint.

Founded in 2018,Keey Aerogel is a Deeptech company pioneering the manufacture of aerogel, an extremely high-performance material in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation. Its main strength lies in the fact that it is developing an innovative technology to produce green aerogel, made from biosourced raw materials and therefore environmentally friendly.

This aerogel offers exceptional performance for a wide range of applications, notably in the building, aeronautics and energy sectors. By replacing traditional materials with a high carbon footprint, Keey Aerogel offers a breakthrough solution for reducing the environmental impact of industry.
