UGGC Avocats assists Mère Poulard in the sale of its cookie factory

Paris, October 10, 2025 - UGGC has advised the founders of the La Mère Poulard group on the sale of its cookie factory to Aux Trois Cigognes, owned by Luc-Pierre Verquin.

Founded in 1998 in Maen-Roch (Ille-et-Vilaine), the cookie factory employs 95 people, with sales of around 30 million euros, including 30% of export sales to 60 countries. This strategic operation enables the La Mère Poulard Group to refocus fully on its core business of tourism and hospitality at Mont Saint-Michel, with a program of investment in the preservation and enhancement of its heritage.

Groupe La Mère Poulard will continue to operate its 25 establishments and outlets on Mont Saint-Michel, including the legendary Auberge de la Mère Poulard.

The UGGC Avocats team involved in this transaction comprised Jean-Philippe Crot (partner), Muriel Bernardin (counsel), Victor Arnould and Victoria Durando (associates) from the corporate law department.

Aux Trois Cigognes was assisted by André Devaux (partner), Claire Pouzenc (partner) and Benjamin Bourgeois (partner) of Alkyne Avocats.

The M&A process was led by Spayne Lindsay & Co with Eric Lanthiez (partner) and Nicolas Oudin (senior associate).
