UGGC Avocats, the leading French business law firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Malach to partner in the M&A / Private Equity department and Laure Assumpçao to partner in the Litigation and Art Market department, with effect from January 1, 2026.
Laura Malach, partner in the M&A / Private Equity department
A member of the Paris Bar since 2007, Laura Malach has spent her entire career with UGGC Avocats and was promoted to Counsel in 2016.
She has recognized expertise in M&A and private equity, and assists clients including investment funds, family offices, entrepreneurs and industrialists in their venture capital/development capital and LBO transactions, as well as in M&A operations (acquisitions, disposals, restructuring).
Laura Malach also advises companies on their corporate law issues (regulations, governance, etc.).
In particular, she is ranked as one of France’s recommended lawyers in Private Equity: venture/growth capital by The Legal 500 (2025).
Laura Malach has joined UGGC Avocats’ M&A / Private Equity team and will play an active role in its development.

Laure Assumpçao, partner in the Litigation and Art Law department
A member of the Paris and New York Bars, Laure Assumpçao has spent her entire career with UGGC Avocats, which she joined in 2015 as an associate, before being promoted to counsel in 2023.
Laure Assumpçao represents players from a wide range of sectors (energy, automotive, transport, banking & finance, etc.) and assists all art market players (artists, galleries, collectors, foundations, auction houses, cultural institutions and heritage professionals) with their civil, commercial and criminal issues.
In particular, it is involved in :
- International litigation: liability claims, asset tracing and recovery, international arbitration, cross-border evidence-gathering procedures, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, etc. ;
- Art law: litigation relating to the authenticity and provenance of works of art, contractual disputes between collectors, galleries and institutions, and the international circulation of works of art.
