UGGC Law Firm advises CICLAD on the first investment of the Si Vis Pacem fund
UGGC Avocats advised CICLAD in connection with the first investment by its Si Vis Pacem fund — a fund dedicated to SMEs within the defence industrial and technological base — involving an owner buy-out (OBO) transaction relating to CGM (Comptoir Général des Métaux), a multi-specialist distributor of metallurgical products and engineering plastics serving the aerospace, space and defence industries.
Founded in 1957 by Simon Bidnic and now led by his children, Emmanuelle and François Bidnic, CGM employs around 60 staff across three sites in France and achieved a turnover of over €35 million in 2025. The development plan focuses on consolidating CGM’s market position in France, its international expansion and external growth to complement the group’s range of products and services.
