Workshop on the “tools of economic interventionism”

Study morning on "the tools of economic interventionism", organized by the Conseil d'Etat and the Centre de Recherche Droit Dauphine (CR2D) of the University of Paris-Dauphine, with Thierry Dal Farra, partner, speaking at the first round table.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the “Guide des outils d’action économique du Conseil d’État” (based on the 2015 annual study on L’Action économique des personnes publiques and regularly updated with the assistance of the DAJ of Bercy), the Conseil d’État and the Centre de recherche Droit Dauphine (CR2D) are organizing a morning of study devoted to changes in public economic interventionism.

Two major round tables to structure the discussions:

Tools to support economic activity: how effective are they?

Subsidies, loans, guarantees, mobilization of the public domain (including intangible assets), public-private partnerships, contracts and concessions, support for economic players… instruments at the heart of today’s public policies.

Tools for preserving the public interest: how acceptable are they?

Regulation, economic policing, corporate control, public shareholdings, financial relations with foreign countries: how can we reconcile economic efficiency, protection of the general interest and democratic acceptability?

A morning of exchanges bringing together institutional leaders, academics, legal practitioners, business representatives and associations, to take stock of the past decade and outline the prospects for the next ten years.

A must-attend event for all those interested in the future of public economic action.
