A look back at the first round of the 6th Paris Place de Droit competition

Organized by the Comité Millenium, chaired by Myriam Obadia Marpeau, in partnership with the Paris Bar (Ordre des avocats de Paris) and theEFB, this event took place on Thursday March 9, 2026, with a panel of judges comprising :
– Julien Mayeras, Partner, UGGC Avocats,
– Sophie Colombani, Director Legal Counsel Procurement ENA, Accor,
– Donatien de Longeaux, General Counsel France, UBS,
– Fabienne Picquenot-Lederer, Magistrate, Tribunal des activités économiques de Paris.

The student lawyers took part in a simulated customer meeting in English. This exchange enabled them to immerse themselves in the day-to-day work of a lawyer, mobilizing both their persuasive and adaptive skills, while delving into complex issues of commercial and international law.

Through their commitment and mastery, they gave a very promising glimpse of the new generation of lawyers!
