Final of the Paris Place de Droit competition

Thursday June 12 saw the final of the Paris Place de Droit Moot Court Competition, organized by the Comité Millénium of the Paris Place de Droit association, the EFB, the Paris Bar (Ordre des avocats de Paris), in partnership with Les Jeunes Juristes de l'AFJE and the BCLP law firm.

Thursday 12 June saw the final organised by the Comité Millénium of the Paris Place de Droit association, the EFB, the Paris Bar (Ordre des avocats de Paris), in partnership with Les Jeunes Juristes of the AFJE and thes firms BCLP and UGGC Avocats.

Congratulations to the winners as well as to all the candidates who have offered us performances of the highest quality!

Clémence Lemétais d’Ormesson was a member of the jury for the first round alongsides Maxime Diot and Fabienne Picquenot-Lederer.

Myriam Obadia helped to organise the competition as a member of Paris Place de Droit (Millennium Committee).

UGGC Avocats had the pleasure of hosting the first stage of the 2025 competition which consisted of a simulated interview between lawyers (the candidates) and their clients (lawyers from theAFJE). The candidates were given ten minutes to convince their clients to include a dispute settlement clause in their international contract, giving jurisdiction to the specialised chambers of the Court of Economic Activities and of the Paris Court of Appeal.
