UGGC Avocats appoints Rim Tazi as partner in Casablanca office of UGGC Africa
Paris, February 20, 2026 - UGGC Avocats announces the appointment of Rim Tazi as a partner in its Casablanca office, effective January 1, 2026. This appointment is fully in line with the firm's development strategy and reinforces its position as a reference in business law in Morocco and, more broadly, in Africa.
With the firm since 2007, Rim Tazi was previously Counsel, a position she has held since 2019. With over 18 years’ experience in business law, she supports her clients in all their strategic and operational operations with a comprehensive, cross-functional vision.
Specializing in cross-border transactions, with a particular focus on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), private equity, international investments and contract law, Rim Tazi assists Moroccan and international clients in structuring investments, including aspects relating to foreign exchange regulations and incentive schemes, implementing high-stakes transactions and providing legal support for projects to set up operations in Morocco. She has recognized expertise in joint ventures, restructurings and the negotiation of complex contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, service provision agreements, subcontracting agreements, franchise agreements, exclusive or selective distribution agreements, as well as commercial agency and brand licensing agreements.
She also assists clients on a day-to-day basis in the management of their corporate, contractual and regulatory operations, in terms of labor law, personal data protection and compliance. She works with companies in a wide range of sectors, including agri-food, pharmaceuticals, automotive, aeronautics, technology, luxury goods, distribution, optics, electronic payments and hotels.
Rim Tazi regularly advises major institutional and financial groups, both Moroccan and international, particularly French and Anglo-Saxon, as well as Moroccan public and para-public entities.
“Rim Tazi’s appointment as partner is fully in line with UGGC Africa’s development dynamic and our desire to strengthen our presence in Morocco and on the African continent. Her career with the firm, her recognized expertise in business law and her perfect command of cross-border operations make her a natural partner to support our clients in complex and strategic transactions.”
