CNIDECA conference on “The expert and the insurer”
Xavier Marchand, head of the Industrial Risks and Insurance department at UGGC Avocats, is delighted to have accepted the invitation from the Compagnie Nationale des Ingénieurs Diplômés Experts près les Cours d'Appel et les juridictions administratives (CNIDECA), and its president Robert Ranquet, to speak on November 18, 2025 at the Maison du Polytechnicien on the essential theme of "The expert and the insurer".
This meeting provided an opportunity to shed light on the convergences and divergences between legal appraisal (and its rules for assessing damages) and insurance appraisal, two approaches that are often complementary but sometimes contrasted.
The round table brought together :
- Claude DUFAUR, President of the Bobigny District Court
- Sarah BROS, Director of the Paris-Dauphine Insurance Law Institute
- Nicolas ROBERT, chartered accountant, statutory auditor and court-appointed expert
The debate was moderated by Mr Robert RANQUET, legal expert and Chairman of CNIDECA.
