Breakfast: “Creating, protecting, transmitting: culture and the challenges of digital technology and artificial intelligence”
On Thursday 16 April, Corinne Khayat, Zhen Huang, Malka Marcinkowski, Carine Le Roy-Gleizes and Laure Assumpçao attended the breakfast organised by the Femmes de Culture association.
Following an introduction by Eva Nguyen Binh, President of the association, who highlighted the pioneering role of SACEM—which is celebrating its 175th anniversary with over 240,000 members worldwide—Cécile Rap-Veber, its Managing Director, delivered an inspiring and insightful talk on the challenges facing cultural stakeholders today.
At the heart of the discussions:
- Creation in the age of AI, with a focus on Senator Laure Darcos’s proposed bill: presumption of use of works by GAFAM and reversal of the burden of proof, a text which has yet to be adopted by the National Assembly
- The protection of works and rights in the face of evolving digital practices
- Cultural transmission in a changing world
A patron of Femmes de Culture since 2022, UGGC Avocats supports initiatives that highlight women leaders, artists, entrepreneurs, authors and creators working to promote cultural vitality.
Thank you to the Femmes de Culture association and Stéphan Paris for this wonderful event.
