UGGC Avocats hosts the first round of the Paris Place de Droit competition
UGGC Avocats is delighted to host the first stage of the 2025 Pleading Competition organized by the Comité Millénium de l'association Paris Place de Droit, the EFB, the Paris Bar (Ordre des avocats de Paris), in partnership with Les Jeunes Juristes de l'AFJE, and the law firm BCLP on May 15, 2025.
This first advice test will consist of a simulated interview between lawyers (the candidates) and their clients (the AFJE lawyers). Candidates will have around ten minutes to convince their clients to include a dispute settlement clause in their international contract, giving jurisdiction to the specialized chambers of the Tribunal des activités économiques and (where applicable) the Paris Court of Appeal.
Clémence Lemétais d’Ormesson is a member of the jury for the first round and Myriam Obadia is the organiser as a member of Paris Place de Droit (Comité Millenium). The competition will be held on Thursday 15 May from 5pm.
