October 25, 2024 – UGGC Avocats has advised the Belgian group Vandeputte in its takeover of Sopronem – a former Henkel site – which had been in receivership since September 9.

The bid submitted by Vandeputte Holding was accepted by the Melun Commercial Court in a ruling dated October 19, 2024, which preserves all 97 Sopronem employees.

With this acquisition, the Vandeputte Group, already present in France with a site in Boulogne-sur-Mer, doubles its production capacity from 150,000 tonnes to 300,000 tonnes.

The Vandeputte Group is a fifth-generation family business founded in 1887 in Rekkem, specializing in the manufacture and marketing of soaps and detergents, oil milling and oleochemicals, with sales in excess of €200,000,000.
